🇮🇳ભારત દેશની ખેતીમાં પ્રાચીન કાળથી આજ સુધી ઘણાબધા ફેરફાર જોવા મળે છે. તેમાં ગ્રીન રીવોલ્યુશન (ઘઉં અને ચોખા), શ્વેત રિવોલ્યુશન (દૂધ) જેવા રિવોલ્યુશનોએ ખૂબ મહત્વનો ફાળો આપ્યો છે.

મિત્રો, અત્યારનો સમય આધુનિક ખેતી અપનાવવાનો સમય છે. આધુનિક ખેતીમાં ટપક પદ્ધતિ, સજીવ ખેતી(જૂનું સોનું), ટીશ્યુ કલ્ચર પદ્ધતિ, પ્રિસિઝન ફાર્મિંગ, નેનો ટેકનોલોજી, વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ જેવી ઘણી બધી ટેકનોલોજીનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

ચાલો મિત્રો આજે આપણે વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ વિશે થોડું જાણીએ.

આપણે એવું માનીએ છીએ ખેતી જમીન ઉપર થાય અને સૂર્યપ્રકાશથી પ્રકાશસંશ્લેષણથી ખોરાક બને અને ખાતર પાણી જરૂરિયાત મુજબ આપવા પડે અને આના વગર વનસ્પતિ જીવીત રહી શકે નહીં પરંતુ આજના ટેક્નોલોજીના યુગમાં જમીન વગર ખેતી થઈ શકે છે. જેમાં હાઈડ્રોપોનિકસ, એરોપોનિકસ જેવી પદ્ધતિ હાલ ખૂબ પ્રચલિત છે તેમાં પણ હવે વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગનો ઉમેરો થયો છે.

"Vertical Farm-  Feeding the World in the 21th Century"  પુસ્તક ના લેખક  ડોક્ટર  ડિકસન, કોલંબિયા યુનિવર્સિટી અમેરિકાએ વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ ના પ્રણેતા છે.

વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ માં જમીનની જગ્યાએ પાકને ટ્યુબમાં વાવેતર કરવામાં આવે છે અને ટ્યુબની એકબીજા ઉપર ગોઠવી દેવામાં આવે છે જેથી તેઓ એપાર્ટમેન્ટ ખેતર જેવા દેખાય છે. એટલે ઉભા ખેતર જેવા દેખાય છે માટે આનું નામ વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે.

 

ટ્યુબમાં જરૂરી પોષક તત્વો પણ આપવામાં આવે છે.

સૂર્યપ્રકાશ ની જગ્યાએ એલઇડી લેમ્પ દ્વારા લાઇટ ( લાલ અને વાદળી) છોડ ઉપર ફેંકવામાં આવે છે જેથી પ્રકાશ સંશ્લેષણની ક્રિયા થઈ શકે છે. એઈડી લેમ્પની  કિંમત પહેલા ખૂબ ઊંચી હતી તેથી લોકો તેને અપનાવતાં નહોતા પરંતુ આ લેમ્પની કિંમતમાં ખૂબ ઘટાડો થયો છે તેથી અને વેગ મળી રહ્યો છે.

વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગમાં એરો ફોર્મ, ગ્રીન્સ સેન્સ ફાર્મ ખૂબ પ્રખ્યાત છે.

👉વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ માં જમીન પર કરવામાં આવતી ખેતી કરતા 95 ટકા પાણીની ઓછી જરૂર પડે છે માટે પાણીની ખૂબ મોટી બચત થાય છે.

👉આ ખેતીમાં દુષ્કાળ પૂર જેવી કુદરતી હોનારતનો (Climate Change) ભય રહેતો નથી અને ૩૬૫ દિવસ પાક લઇ શકાય છે. કારણ કે આ ખેતી હવામાન આધારિત નથી.

👉 આ ખેતીમાં કોઈ નિંદામણનાશક દવા, જંતુનાશક દવા કે ફૂગનાશક દવા વપરાતી નથી માટે સ્વાસ્થ્ય માટે ખૂબ લાભદાયી છે.

👉 વર્ટિકલ ફાર્મિંગ મુખ્ય શહેરની નજીકમાં કરવામાં આવે છે તેથી ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટેશન ખર્ચ બચાવી શકાય છે.

Friends, now is the time to adopt modern farming.  Modern farming includes many technologies like drip method, organic farming (old gold), tissue culture method, precision farming, nanotechnology, vertical farming.

 Let us, know a little bit about vertical farming...

We believe that farming takes place on land and photosynthesis from sunlight becomes food and fertilizer has to be given as per the requirement and without this the plant cannot survive but in today's age of technology farming can be done without land.  In which methods like hydroponics, aeroponics are very popular now, vertical farming has also been added.

Dr. Dixon, author of the book "Vertical Farm- Feeding the World in the 21st Century", is a pioneer of vertical farming at Columbia University in America.

 In vertical farming the crops are planted in tubes instead of land and the tubes are arranged on top of each other so that they look like apartment farms.  This is why it is called vertical farming because it looks like a standing farm.

Essential nutrients are also provided in the tube. Instead of sunlight, light (red and blue) is thrown over the plants by LED lamps so that the action of photosynthesis can take place.  The price of AED lamps was very high before so people did not adopt it but the price of these lamps has come down a lot and is gaining momentum.

Arrow farm, Greens Sense Farm are  very famous for vertical farming.

👉Vertical farming requires 95% less water than land farming, which saves a lot of water.

 👉 There is no danger of natural calamity like drought and flood in this farm and crop can be taken for 365 days. (Round the year) Because this farming is not weather dependent.

 👉 It is very beneficial for health as no herbicide, pesticide or fungicide is used in this farm.

 👉Vertical farming is done close to the main city so transportation costs can be saved.(Pollution control)

 🌱Vertical Farming is likely to be a boon for people's food security in the age of global warming.
